The Minotaur (or Minotauros) was an Ox-headed man-beast born to Queen Pasiphae of Krete and the myth was his father was a wild bull. The creature resided in the twisting maze of the labyrinth, where he roamed endlessly, was feared by all and known to have an insatiable hunger. The Minotaur’s proper name Asterion, "the starry one", suggests he was associated with the constellation Tauros. |
